Witchcraft is the use of magic!

But what is magic?

Magic is believed to be the manipulation of natural forces using “paranormal methods”. Wikipedia describes witchcraft and spell work as “the practice of, and belief in, magical skills and abilities that are able to be exercised individually, by designated social groups, or by persons with the necessary esoteric secret knowledge.”

Witchcraft has been apart of fantasy and folklore for centuries and in many different cultures. Historically, people have associated witchcraft with something evil and malicious. Usually describing witchcraft as something that harms others by causing accidents, illnesses, bad luck, and even death. Some societies believe in witches and everyday magicians in many of their medicinal and holistic health practices. These practitioners use magic for good, performing actions such as healing and casting spells for love, health, and wealth. People around the world continue to practice witchcraft today.

Witchcraft and spell work oftentimes incorporates the use of herbs, crystals, candles, symbols, sigils and other natural resources to perform intentional rituals. Each of these tools are assigned a meaning and reason for manifesting things in everyday life. To form a ritual, you have to create a unique combination using the tools and your intentions. You can make a ritual up by yourself or use some of the common and popular techniques used by witches of all ages and styles all around the world.

The point of performing a ritual is to bring forth something magical. You can make your dreams come true! Rituals help with manifesting specific things in your waking life and can be very helpful when properly constructed. Witchcraft and spell work are known to be a type of vibrational alchemy. Alchemy is the process of using combinations to bring forth transformation and creation.

Personally, I believe that witchcraft is the practice of creating everyday magic. It allows us to become familiar with our own inner wisdom, intuition, personal power and control. Spell work shows us that no matter how busy or hectic life is, even small acts and intentions can add meaning, positivity and depth to your life. Listen and look around, magic is everywhere.

What do you think of Witchcraft? Do you think its just calling upon the power within or something more?
