Honey Magic!
Mother Nature shares with us the amazing alchemy of bees! Honey is loaded with nutrients, antioxidants, and healing compounds. Pick up some raw unfiltered honey, which hasn’t been heat-treated or pasteurized, this ensures that all of the active phytonutrient antioxidants and enzymes are included for enhanced benefits.
Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it draws moisture from the air into the skin and ensures it’s retained it in the layers where it’s needed most for penetrating, long-lasting hydration. Honey also contains antibacterial and antifungal properties that fight bacteria that can lead to breakouts. Its anti-inflammatory properties will calm redness and irritation and the antibacterial compounds will help to decrease the appearances of scars and increase healing and tissue regeneration. This makes it a great moisturizing cleanser!
• Spread one teaspoon raw honey on clean, dry skin, and let sit for 15-20 minutes then rinse clean
Honey is loaded with antioxidants, enzymes, and other nutrients that nourish, cleanse, and hydrate skin. Baking soda, meanwhile, is a gentle natural exfoliator that removes dead skin cells, allowing new cells to emerge for a radiant complexion.
• Pair a tablespoon of raw honey with a squirt of lemon and teaspoon of cinnamon and create a blackhead busting paste!
• Pair your honey with a teaspoon of baking soda to sluff off dead skin cells and create a luminous complexion
If you have sunburned or sensitive skin you can use honey to restore hydration to the deepest layers of sun-exposed skin. Pair it up with your fresh aloe vera to create a powerful all natural anti-inflammatory to calm burned skin and aid in recovery.
• Mix one part raw honey with two parts pure aloe vera gel and apply directly to effected area
Don’t be selfish with your honey! Use it on your hair too! Add a teaspoon honey with your favorite shampoo, wash and lather as normal. The enzymes and nutrients in raw honey help regulate and retain moisture in hair and strengthen hair follicles for healthy growth. Honey can also give dull hair shine without weighing it down. When paired with a bit of coconut oil, your hair will be in moisture heaven as they work together to penetrate the hair shaft to condition and smooth the cuticle. Let it sit for 20 minutes and enjoy your super soft shiny hair!
Use the magic of honey to assist in your manifestations! Keep a little bottle of this magical elixir at your alter.
