Meditation: still possible when you think you think too much!

I’m literally the queen of overthinking things so I know this experience well... You sit down to start meditating and all you can focus on is the chore you still need to do, the calls you need to make, the email you need to respond to, the itch on your forehead, the sound in the distance etc.

Then you tell yourself repeatedly “just try to not think… think of nothing” …and then get stuck in a cycle of thinking about how you’re not thinking! A good way to counteract this try journaling before you meditate. Before you sit down in your space to meditate, journal & slow yourself a stream of consciousness. Empty all your thoughts onto the paper.

When you think you’re finished, close your eyes and start breathing deeply. Have another thought come up? Interrupt yourself and write that one down too. Keep doing this until you can just fall into those breaths and allow them to relax you.

Once you find that clear zone and feel relaxed, breathe deeply for as many times as you can— don’t count, just think of your breath as a circle. Focus on the breath and its circular energy, in - out - in - out. Get lost in the space of your breath and suddenly - you’re meditating.

Just like everything great in life - it takes practice. A few minutes of successful meditation can turn into ten. Those ten minutes can turn into a half hour. Just stay consistent and you’ll find it easier with time to get into the peaceful state you’re looking for in less time.

For enhancing clairvoyance: You can journal with your eyes closed and create a “channeling session” of sorts where every thought or image you get in your mind is just written down. This is a great way to enhance your intuition and strengthen your third eye.

Don’t try to make sense of your words or censor them in any way. If you feel called to sketch something, go for it! Just free write & flow until you feel satisfied. Look back on your message to find themes, symbolism or any profound messages. Keep a journal of any recurring things that come up, describe it made you feel and interpret what you took from it.

Try these techniques & let me know how you felt! 📓
